The (Before) House

So here we go.....A new blog and a new home to go with our new life out here in Texas.  Here are some pictures of our house as it looked on Friday before the demolition started.  I am a terrible photographer so I apologize in advance for the quality of these photos.  The house was built in 1929 and has only had minor updates done.

This is a partial view of the house from the street.  You can see the HUGE stained glass window that was one (of many) reasons we love this house!
The inside of the window!!  Love all the stained/leaded glass.  The trim on the inside needs a little TLC to restore it to its original beauty.
The gorgeous woodwork on the ceilings. The house is full of beautiful details that are all original.

The "lovely" pink sink and matching pink bathtub.  Ironically, this bathroom will be off of my husband's study.  My oldest son was very quick to point out that "Daddy has a girl's bathroom!"  I am pretty sure they will be among the first to go!

That is all for now, next I will post pictures of the demolition in progress, stay tuned!
